Tamil Nadu has off late issued recruitment notification to take Staff
Nurse on contract basis for various departments. There are total 7243
posts available. Because of the number of posts, great number of
applicants has applied for the available vacancy. So, this huge number
of applicants will be shortlisted through a written exam. Online
application was finished on 11th May and all the candidates are waiting for the written test. Written exam will be taken on 28th June. But the authority will soon issue MRB Tamil Nadu Staff Nurse Admit Card 2015 on the website: www.mrb.tn.gov.in.
Written exam will be held on 28th
June from 10 am to 12:30 pm. written exam will be multiple choice type.
200 multiple choice questions on Diploma Level Nursing. Cut off mark is
50% for general candidates. For reserved candidates, cut off mark is
35%. This bar is not applicable for general candidates. Exam will be
held on fixed exam centers at Chennai, Trichirapalli, Madurai,
Tirunelveli and Coimbatore. Candidates will be able to know the exact

Selection will be made based on the
marks scored by the candidates in the written examination, by following
the rules of reservation and communal rotation of Government of Tamil
Nadu. There will be no Interview for the post. The selection will be
made initially for 451 posts (for which both men and women candidates
are eligible to apply).
After selection of candidates for 451
posts, selection will be made for the remaining posts exclusively
reserved for women candidates (duly following the rules of reservation
and communal rotation). If there are two or more candidates belonging to
the same community with similar qualification (including marks secured
in the competitive examination), the one who has rendered satisfactory
military service will be preferred over the other candidates. Candidates
provisionally selected for appointment to the posts will be required to
produce a certificate of physical fitness including Vision Certificate
in the prescribed form.

Successful candidate will have to join
duty within 30 days from the date of receipt of appointment orders and
will not have the opportunity to claim that one can not join duty
because of having higher studies. Applicants will have to abide by the
condition that their name will be removed from the approved list without
assigning any reasons therefore, if he/she fails to join duty within
the stipulated time.
Candidates will have to abide by the
condition that if he/she is selected and appointed as Nurse, after
joining duty, he shall not be permitted to undergo any course within the
period of two years excluding the period of leave. If the candidate is
under any contractual obligation, to serve under any State Government /
Local Bodies / Private Institutions then they must produce a No
Objection Certificate from the Appointing Authority concerned to write
the Competitive Examination.
As there will be no interview in the
recruitment process, lot of weight is on written test. So, candidates
