Medical Services Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu has off late issued recruitment notification to take Staff Nurse on contract basis for various departments. There are total 7243 posts available. Exam will be held on fixed exam centers at Chennai, Trichirapalli, Madurai, Tirunelveli and Coimbatore. Selection will be made based on the marks scored by the candidates in the written examination, by following the rules of reservation and communal rotation of Government of Tamil Nadu. There will be no Interview for the post. The selection will be made initially for 451 posts (for which both men and women candidates are eligible to apply).

 After selection of candidates for 451 posts, selection will be made for the remaining posts exclusively reserved for women candidates (duly following the rules of reservation and communal rotation). Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is going to take eligible candidates for teaching posts of different category. Exam Syllabus for the Post of Post Graduate Teacher:
For Post Graduate Teacher recruitment, multiple choice based question will be set. Exam will consist of two papers. Paper-I will consist of English and Hindi Language based questions. 20 questions will be set from each section. So, candidates will need to go through English Grammar basics and Hindi Language. Part-II will contain questions on current affairs, Numerical Ability, Teaching Methodology and the subject for which the applicant will apply. So, candidates will have to be informed about current happenings. For that they should read newspapers daily and be well conversant with the subject in which they want to teach. Weight of the written test will be 70% as 30% is allocated for interview.
Primary Teacher Exam Syllabus:
Primary Teacher recruitment exam will be multiple choice type. The question will be divided into two papers. Paper-I will consist of Language section. 30 questions in total will be set on both English and Hindi language with 15 questions from section. Paper-II will contain 120 marks in total. Paper-II will be divided into three sections. Current Affairs, Reasoning Ability and Teaching Methodology. Each section will carry 40 marks in total. For Primary Teacher in Music category, 60 marks will be allocated to the part Musicology. Questions will be mainly set from rag and taal and music scale for musicology part. Primary school teachers will be recruited for English, Mathematics, General Science, Social Science subjects. Candidates will be tested on subject of specialty as well. Getting a minimum percentage of mark in paper-I is mandatory. Otherwise, paper-II will not be evaluated. Minimum of 4 marks is needed in both English and Hindi and 10 marks needed in total including both language parts.

Exam Syllabus for Trained Graduate Trainee Post:
For those who are looking to get into Trained Graduate Teacher and Librarian, they should also get well prepared in English and Hindi because part-I will consist of English and Hindi. 40 questions will be set in total with 20 questions from each section. For part-II, they will need to take preparation for Current affairs, Numeric Ability, Teaching Methodology and Subject in which they want to take the post of. Syllabus is much like the Post Graduate Teacher written test but the difficulty level might vary and the questions will not be the same as Post Graduate Teacher test though syllabus is all the same. Weight of written and interview mark is 70:30.
For Trained Graduate Teacher for English, Math, Science, Sanskrit and Social Science Department syllabus will be all the same but mark distribution will vary. 30 questions will be set from English and Hindi Language with 15 questions each from both parts. Paper-II will contain questions from Reasoning Ability, Current Affairs, and Teaching Methodology. Mark distribution will vary a bit from the other written tests. 120 questions will be set from the sections and 40 questions from each section. Weight of each section of part-II is the same.
For PRT (Music) posts, questions will be set from English, Hindi Language, Current Affairs, Numeric Ability and Subject related questions on Musicology. So, candidates will have to stress on Musicology because 60 marks will be on this section.
Considering the competition factor, candidates will have to take perfect preparation taken into consideration the relative weight of each section in the written test. For example, main emphasis should be put on subject of specialization because 50% of the total weight of the exam will carry the subject of specialization. However, subjects like Hindi Language and English Language should not be overlooked because candidates will have get a minimum number in the language section. Otherwise, part-II will not even be evaluated.
So, a candidate can do brilliantly well in the part-II exam but overlooking the language section can be destructive because below par performance in the part-I which is the language section, will take away all the good work done in the part-II section. So, candidates need to stress on almost all the sections to get well prepared and hope for the best.

Selection process
